Oil Figure drawing　2009 - 2010

People are one of my favorite subjects to draw, but the movements and expressions of children are what attracts me the most. It is very difficult to draw these emotions, but I am always very happy when I am able to finish up these paintings. The art above are not only from photographs of mine, but also from magazines and the internet which I have personally transcribed onto the canvas. I am always impressed not only by the composition of the photograph, but also the cameraman's ability to capture the instantaneous movements and expressions. 

人物画は私の好きな題材のひとつである。特に子供の何かを思わせる仕種や表情は、心引かれる。絵で表現するのは難しいが、それが書き上げられた時は嬉しい。ここにある絵は、私のオリジナルの写真だけではなく、インターネットや雑誌からの写真を絵に書き写したものもある。写真の構図はもちろんのこと、カメラマンの動きや表情の一瞬を捉える目に関心するばかりである。
